Allison Willet has appeared as a soloist with the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, the Winston-Salem Symphony and the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra. She also served as Concertmaster of the Philharmonia of Greensboro, Principal second violin for Salisbury Symphony Orchestra and Associate principal second violin for Western Piedmont Orchestra. Allison performs regularly with The NC Symphony, NC Baroque Orchestra, Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, NC Opera, Carolina Philharmonic, Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Tar River Symphony, and Raleigh Camerata.
Allison was the founder and director of Greensboro Early Music. She is a founding member of Raleigh Camerata and NC Baroque Orchestra. In addition to violin, Allison also performs viola da gamba and viola d’amore. She has studied with distinguished musicians Gesa Kordes and Marc Destrubé, violin; Alison Crum and Gail Ann Schroeder, viol; and Thomas Georgi, viola d’amore. According to CVNC reviewer Paul D. Williams, Allison plays “lovingly and with highest competence.” She teaches privately in Durham, where she resides.
