MaryRuth Lown, soprano, holds degrees from Winthrop University (B.M.E.) and Boston University (M.M., Historical Performance). Praised by The Boston Musical Intelligencer for her “clear soprano” and “tasteful dramatic interpretation”, she is a choral scholar with Music at Marsh Chapel and is active as a soloist and choral artist.

Recently, Ms. Lown has performed with the Handel and Haydn Society, Arcadia Players, VOCES8 US Scholars Program, Handel Society of Dartmouth College, Amherst Early Music Festival, and Harvard Early Music Society. This summer she will attend the Seraphic Fire Professional Choral Institute.
