MaryRuth Lown

Soprano

MaryRuth Lown, soprano, holds degrees from Winthrop University (B.M.E.) and Boston University (M.M., Historical Performance). Praised by The Boston Musical Intelligencer for her "clear soprano" and "tasteful dramatic interpretation", she is in her third season as a choral scholar with Music at Marsh Chapel and is active as a soloist and choral artist in Boston and beyond.

Ms. Lown has most recently performed with the Handel and Haydn Society, the Arcadia Players, VOCES8 US Scholars Program, Amherst Early Music Festival, and the Harvard Early Music Society, and is delighted to join the musicians of Bach Akademie Charlotte this season.
