After earning her B.A. in Voice from Salem College, Rebecca Saunders, a native of the Charlotte area, spent the next two years at the Institute of Early Music at Indiana University, studying Early Music vocal technique and performance practice with tenor Paul Elliott and Thomas Binkley. Since 1994, she has been the soprano for Carolina Pro Musica, Charlotte’s first Early Music chamber ensemble, performing in the Southeast region, at the Boston Early Music Festival, as well as in the United Kingdom.
