WinterFest ’27

The second edition of WinterFest will be held January 21–24, 2027.

Bach’s Legacy in Motion

WinterFest 2027 is built around a simple idea that the music of J. S. Bach did not end with Bach. It became a living inheritance, passed through his family, absorbed by Haydn, revered by Mendelssohn and Brahms, reimagined on the Baroque stage, and brought home in the grandeur of the organ.

Across four days, Bach Charlotte traces that extraordinary legacy from the intimate brilliance of the string quartet to the warmth of Romantic chamber music, from theatrical Baroque wit to the spiritual and architectural power of Bach himself.

WinterFest is serious music without stiffness, scholarship without distance, and exceptional artistry without pretense. It is Bach as source, Bach as influence, Bach as theater, Bach as inspiration, and Bach as a living presence.
