A greeting from The Four Horsemen:

"...some might pontificate on whether a trombonist might be refused entry at a Bach Festival, merely because he wrote little to no music for our glorious instrument. A point well taken. Bach is the unsung hero of Western Music over the last 500 years, which is an odd thing to say, given that he was so completely involved with the art of singing.

All who have written or performed music in the last 500 years have, in some way, been inspired by him. Musical instruments were each created to emulate the greatest instrument of all - the human voice. The trombone is the most vocal of the instruments, and we, the Four Horsemen, are keenly aware of the gravity of that awesome responsibility.

We plan to take you on a journey of Bach, those inspired by Bach, those who helped reignite Bach's incredible music and influence a lifetime after his death, and those whose art was undeniably shaped by him. All from a trombonist's perspective. Come share some C.P.E. Bach, J.S. Bach, Speer, Gabrieli, Haendel, Haydn, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Grieg, and Bruckner."
