Applications open November 1, 2021 to Middle and High School Students aged 12-18 residing in North or South Carolina and studying with a private music teacher. Students will be asked to submit an application comprised of a video performance of one piece written before 1800 as well as a brief personal statement.

ADULT AMATEUR ADJUDICATION
(The adult category is intended for avocational students who will have the opportunity to perform repertoire for feedback only by a panel of judges. It is not a competition.)
REPERTOIRE: One piece by J.S. Bach; one piece written before 1800
(For woodwinds, one piece by Vivaldi, Handel, or Telemann; one piece written before 1800)
APPLICATION The fee for entering the competition is $75. The deadline to submit applications is December 15, 2021. This registration fee covers the application, pre-screening, and adjudication, —as well as admission to all public events during the Carolina Bach Competition.
Early registration discount: $50.
The application fee has been reduced from $75 to $50. The fee is nonrefundable and does not guarantee entrance to the competition.
